Can’t make it to the Bunny Brunch this Sunday, April 20th, in Ibiza? Your loss. But don’t worry, you can still get a taste of Fluitje’s mischief at home. This Basque cheesecake is naughty by nature: slightly burnt, wildly creamy and shamelessly banana’d.
The recipe’s waiting for you right below the photo.
Ciao todos,
Hostia puta – as we’d say on Ibiza. It’s been a while, but peace has finally (and thankfully) returned. Let me catch you up on everything that’s been cooking - in and out of the oven.
On March 13th, a full-page article about me dropped in Dutch national newspaper AD — and things went wild. Radio interviews, TV requests, and a very warm DM inbox. My following skyrocketed overnight.
But here’s the thing… it also made me wonder: Should there be a second print of Het Stoutste Kookboek? You tell me.
This summer, I’m joining 19 other international chefs in one of the most exciting pop-up dining events on Dutch ground. On August 8, 9 or 10, you can take a seat at my table for a multi-course dinner. Think Spain meets Italy… with a kiss of kink. Reserve your seat here.
March also marked the second edition of my sold-out food photography retreat. And as the final guests said goodbye, I felt it: that chapter is closing.
Food photography was once my everything — but behind the stove, I found something deeper. Since Het Stoutste Kookboek, the fire to shoot for clients has dimmed. So I’m no longer offering myself as a culinary photographer, officially. I’d rather shoot my own sexy creations — raw, real, and without restrictions. And honestly? I’m done with all the back-and-forth flying. I’ve never felt more rooted - right here, on this sweet little island I call home.
Ibiza is already sizzling. Tourists are arriving, the air smells like sex, and the kitchen is calling. My full focus is now on: Cooking – five days straight in the kitchen, feeding hungry islanders with comida casera (recipes coming soon). And: FLUIT. Magazine – my bold, glossy ode to food & pleasure. Pre-order my second baby here.
One thing’s certain: this is the true calling. And yes, I’ve now officially made the full switch to English. The voice? Louder than ever. Ok, lets do some cooking.
